Summer Leadership Programs gives Accounting students the opportunity to learn about all the possibilities a career in public accounting can offer. It also helps students gain an insider’s view of different firms. Applicants must currently be on track to graduate with 150 credits between December 2021 and August 2022. An Accounting major is required, with a 3.0 or higher GPA.

To be eligible for an award, you must be registered in the Accounting Option and satisfy either Category A or Category B requirements:
Earned a grade of C or better in ACCT 301
Have completed at least 75 semester hours, of which at least 15 must have been earned at CSUSM, with overall and Accounting GPAs of 2.8 or better
Have completed at least 8 credit hours in 300- or 400-level courses since your last application, if you previously received an Accounting award. (Note: If you received an award in Spring 2019 and completed at least 8 hours of 300- or 400-level courses during Spring 2019 and/or Fall 2019, you would satisfy this requirement.)
Be currently enrolled in ACCT 301 with a minimum grade of ‘B’ on exams completed so far
Have completed ACCT 201 and 202 (or their equivalents) with a grade of ‘B’ or better
Have an overall GPA of 2.8 or better (including courses taken in CSUSM and those transferred from community colleges or other universities)
